His debut album peaked at 38 on the Billboard charts, but it was after his death that he work began to be appreciated more. He was first known on the music platform SoundCloud, where he released mixtapes including Hellboy, as well as collaborating with artists including Lil Tracy. He is said to have helped lead the way in a revival of emo rap and rock music, particularly in the latter stages of the 2010s. His death was put down to an accidental overdose, linking back to his substance abuse and struggles with mental health, including bipolar disorder. Lil Peep was born on the 1st November 1996, whose birth name was Gustav Elijah Ahr, and was an American rapper, singer and songwriter, prior to his tragic death on the 15th November 2017, shortly after his 21st Birthday.
